The Beginnings 

Grace&Gainz was born from the vision of two brothers, Michael Magarelli and Matthew Magarelli, who set out to create more than just a clothing brand—they wanted to build a movement. Rooted in their deep faith in God, they saw an opportunity to blend their passion for fitness with their devotion, creating a brand that inspires strength both physically and spiritually.

From early morning lifts to late-night Bible studies, they realized that true growth isn’t just about the body—it’s about the soul. The gym teaches discipline, endurance, and perseverance—qualities that mirror the spiritual journey of faith. Just like in training, where consistency and resilience build strength, walking with Christ requires dedication, trust, and the willingness to push through challenges. They wanted to create a brand that reflected this mindset: faith and fitness working together as one.

The Brothers Behind The Brand

Michael and Matthew Magarelli grew up as multi-sport athletes, competing in football, hockey, and baseball. Through years of training, competition, and teamwork, they learned the values of hard work, perseverance, and pushing beyond limits. But it was their time at St. Michael’s College School that shaped not just their athletic drive but also their faith.

At St. Mike’s, they deepened their connection with God and grew stronger in their devotion to St. Michael the Archangel, the warrior and protector of the faithful. The school’s emphasis on discipline, character, and faith helped them understand that true strength comes not only from physical ability but from a foundation built on faith and purpose. Inspired by their experiences both on the field and in the classroom, they wanted to create something that embodied the values they had learned—a brand that would remind others to keep God at the center of their grind.

With this vision, Grace&Gainz was founded—a faith-driven brand that merges gymwear, streetwear, and accessories, all designed to keep God at the center of the journey. The name itself carries a message: “Grace” represents the unshakable love and mercy of God, while “Gainz” symbolizes the progress we make—not just in fitness but in life, faith, and character.
